Kaneland Youth Softball is a Little League affiliated softball program so our age ranges follow Little League rules. There is some overlap between the divisions, so your player may be eligible for more than one division. Athletes are encouraged to play in the division that they would be required to play in the next spring/summer season if they are moving up. For example if an athlete just played in Minor A this past spring season and will be 11 by January 1st of this coming year they would need to play in Majors next spring season and are encouraged to play in Majors this fall.

To determine which division your player should register for you can use their grade level at time of registration and skill level as guides.

T-Ball : 5 to 6 yo

Minor B (8U) : K-2nd (6 to 8 yo)

Minor A (10U) : 3rd-5th (8 to 10 yo)

Majors (12U) : 5th-7th (10 to 12 yo)

Juniors (14U) : 7th-9th (12 to 15 yo)
